Hello!

This post is off topic, but related to HP10S.

My Hp10S fell out of bed, about 1 feet tall.

It was no more turning on. So, I inserted a pin, in the back part, to activate the hardware reset and it turned on.

But, please tell me, why it stopped working and returned to work after I reset it?

A calculator becoming unresponsive after either a static shock (which can
happen when sliding against a fabric, e.g. bedding) or a physical shock (e.g.
falling to the floor) is a very common phenomenon. In fact the reset hole is
there to take care of situations just like that, so you did the right thing by
using it.
