A solution for battery and broken sliding door of the HP-28S

Advantages
1. Light weight overall
2. Easy to find 1.5V cell button
3. Reduce the force of the springs against the door

My solution is a 48SX. ;D

Rather clever metalwork, I must say. That sucker sure isn't going to
crack like those plastic doors!

I have an HP 28S that I bought many years ago but I want to give it to my daughter as she goes to college but I need to buy another door like the one you designed. Great idea. Do you have an extra one you can sell me?
